The Process

  • Complete (at least) RETC’s 45-hour Real Estate Broker License Course finishing all sessions.
  • Take the RETC course final exam.
  • Take the State of New York Real Estate Broker exam.
  • Apply for you real estate broker license when you pass both exams.

NY State Exam

You must make an online reservation in order to sit for the State exam. We recommend you make your reservation as soon as possible, even if you intend to take the exam in a few months. Register for the NY State Exam.
